Fivebough wetland during June and July

The Fivebough wetland during June and July has received good inflows from rainfall within its catchment. The best for a number of years with the extent of water cover now at ~90%. Subsequently the prospect of Fivebough this year being able to support the presence of an increased abundance and diversity of waterbirds is high.

Australian Birdfair, November 14-16, 2008

The third annual Australian Birdfair will be held November 14-16, 2008. The Birdfair’s venue has changed and is to be held at the Yanco Agricultural Institute - Murrumbidgee Rural Studies Centre.

Stephen Moss will be a special guest of the Birdfair this year. Stephen is an author, and media personality in the United Kingdom, and is a producer with the BBC’s Natural History Unit.

Friends of Fivebough

The next Friends of Fivebough meeting will be held Thursday August 14th , in the Yellow Room at Leeton Shire Library, 7.30pm.
