Fivebough and Tuckerbil Wetlands Trust

Location and travel

The conference will be held in the rural town of Leeton, New South Wales. Immediately adjacent to Leeton lies Fivebough and Tuckerbil Swamps, a Ramsar site renowned for its waterbird populations.

A large proportion of Australia’s inland waterbird species can be seen on the swamps especially during November when the conference will be held.

Getting there

Leeton is easily accessible by road, air and rail from the regional centres & capital cities.   Travel via the Hume Highway or Burley Griffin Way from Sydney, the Newell Highway from Brisbane & Melbourne and the Sturt Highway from Adelaide.

Regional Express Airlines (REX), operate daily flights to and from the Leeton/Narrandera Airport to Sydney.   QantasLink operate daily flights to and from Wagga Airport to Sydney and Melbourne.  Wagga Wagga is situation 1.5 hours drive from Leeton.

An airport shuttle (pick up and drop off) will be arranged for the Leeton/Narrandera Airport during the conference. Please contact the conference coordinator for more details and/or to arrange a pick up or drop off .  Email: temp@tempmanagement.com.au

Visas

Some delegates may require a letter of invitation to assist with obtaining an Australian visa.  If you require such a letter, please contact the conference organisers well in advance and an invitation on conference letterhead will be sent to you.
